The new incident distribution list offers a free service to advise organisations of any issues that could have an impact on commercial fleets’ or customers’ journeys.
One of the biggest problems and cause of complaints for road users are delays caused often caused by accidents and other unforeseen incidents
Highways England are responsible for over 4300 miles of motorways and major trunk roads. Their aim is to ensure the strategic road network is safe, free flowing, serviceable, accessible and integrated. The role of the National Incident Liaison Officer is to identify, disseminate and escalate incidents that could impact our customers’ journeys including passenger, freight and logistics organisations.
Their new incident distribution list offers a free service to advise organisations of any issues that could have an impact on commercial fleets’or customers’ journeys. To take advantage of this simple free service, BIFA has been asked to make its Members aware of the service. Please refer to the attached flyer, which provides more information, to register your interest in receiving these incident updates, please forward your details to NILO@highwaysengland.co.uk
